On a business trip to Kazakhstan 11.-14.7.17, we (F. Kevicky, J. Pauliny, T. Rajcan, V. Sizonov) had an opportunity to view several pavilions of the EXPO 2017 International Exhibition.
Our customer - AO Transtelecom company, which is a part of the holding of Kazakh Railways, was responsible for the delivery of the IT and telecommunication infrastructure for the entire exhibition. From previous discussions with representatives, we were aware of this role however, in fact we could not really imagine its extent in practice. They also ensured the overall implementation of the Kazakhstan central pavilion for all exhibiting subjects. Last but not least, they exposed their pavilion with the presentation of their portfolio, and in the premises of which we had an official meeting. Our attendance and visit of the pavilion of the Slovak Republic was arranged with the assistance of the Slovak Embassy.
The main theme of the EXPO 2017 is “Future Energy”. Expositions are aimed to be more educational with visions’ introduction and various technological and interactive innovations. It is certainly interesting especially for young people. The estimated number of visitors was exceeded within 1 month of opening. We have agreed that this year's EXPO exhibition is a dignified follower of such exhibitions in the world and a proof that also a country like Kazakhstan is serious about its technological future. In the same way, also the Slovak exposure with spectacular visual walls can be evaluated.
